Seven year old Manasa is studying in grade 1 at Sarada Vidyalayam, the school run by Sankurathri Foundation near Kakinada town in Andhra Pradesh, India. Her father is a mason who earns roughly $5 per day, if he is able to find work.
Manasa had been complaning to the teacher about not being able to see the black board clearly. After conducting a free eye examination at Srikiran Institute, it was found that she needed to wear spectacles. Since her father could not afford to buy her a pair of spectacles, she had been trying to cope with bad eyesight.
Your donation, Michael, enabled Sankurathri Foundation to provide her with a pair of spectacles. She is now extremely happy with her new spectacles. Thank you for helping Manasa see better.
