Durgananda is a healthy and happy child!

Six year old Durgananda lives with his family in the village of Penumarthi, in coastal Andhra Pradesh.

His father is a small-time farmer, who owns half an acre plot of land and earns a meager sum of $100 per month. This amount does not suffice to meet the medical and other basic needs of his three young children and wife.

Like most children in rural areas, Durgananda was also malnourished and survived for days on end on an empty stomach. With their father being a poor marginal farmer, Sankurathri Foundation provides free education to Durgananda and his brothers.

Your generous donation, Laurent, has made it possible for Sankurathri Foundation to provide a nutritious lunch comprising of rice, lentils, leafy vegetables and clarified butter to Durgananda. He will also be given a glass of milk in the afternoon. With these two food supplements Durgananda will become healthy and active. He will also be able to perform well in his studies.
