Seventy-five year old Kanthamma is a widow, living alone in a village called Vella, in coastal Andhra Pradesh.
She had two sons who passed away, a few years back. With no family to care for her, it was her neighbors who checked on her well-being. But since the last one year, her vision had become blurry and she was not able to see properly. At her time of need, she had no family to help her and Kanthamma was very depressed. She knew she was becoming a burden on her neighbors who did all that they could for her.
In a routine eye-camp organized by Sankurathri Foundation, one of her neighbors brought Knathamma to get her eyes examined. After a thorough eye examination it was found that she had developed a cataract problem many years ago which was operated but since she broke her glasses, her eye-sight had become poor.
The doctors recommended corrective spectacles for her she didn’t have money to buy one. Based on her economic condition, Sankurathri Foundation has provided her a pair of glasses, with your generous donation, Jamie.
Thank you Jamie for restoring Kanthamm’s vision because of which she can look after for self again.
