Sixty year old Musalaiah and his wife are poor nomads moving from village to village with his flock of ducks.
Musalaiah has seven children, all of whom are married and settled on their own. Musalaiah barely earns $50 a month with which he struggles to make ends meet. They live much below the poverty line and with not much knowledge about poultry, his flock of ducks often fell prey to diseases which needed to be treated. The little that he managed to earn also got spent in paying for such expenses.
They were going through difficult times and to make matters worse, Musalaiah’s vision had started diminishing over the last few years. He was finding it difficult to look after his flock of ducks and realized that he would end up losing his only source of livelihood, if he does not get his eyes examined.
He went for a village eye0camp organized by Sankurathri Foundation and found that he needed corrective glasses. He was asked to buy a pair of glasses which would help him see better but with absolutely no savings in hand, he confessed that he could not afford to buy one.
Your generous donation, Wilma, enabled Sankurathri Foundation to provide him a pair of glasses.
Thanks to your gift, he can now see very clearly and wanted to personally thank you for this kind gesture.
Thank you, for your support!
