Eight year old Nagalakshmi is studying in grade 2 in Sarada Vidyaayam. Her father, Bhadram, works as a mason in the village of Penumarthi, in coastal Andhra Pradesh. He barely earns enough to support the needs of his family.
She lives with her parents, grandmother and an older brother. When compared to other students Nagalakshmi is one of the active children in her class. Recently, Nagalakshmi had been rubbing her eyes and complaining about frequent headaches.Teachers referred her to the eye hospital for a complete eye examination.
She was found to have a poor vision and was asked to wear corrective glasses. When her father was informed, he was not prepared to pay for a medical expense and had no savings either.
Your generous donation, Jamie, enabled Sankurathri Foundation to buy her a pair of glasses. She is thrilled to receive this gift from you and promises to work hard and make up for her grades.
Thank you Jamie, for this kind gesture!
