Sixty-five year old, Satyavathi hails from the village of Boinapalli.
Her husband Vegulaiah died three years ago due to heart attack. She has one daughter who is married and lives separately with her husband.
Satyavathi lives alone and works as a daily laborer to make her living, earning about $3 per day. But since the last few months she was depressed about her diminishing vision because of which she could not go to work.
With a meager income, she had no savings and not even enough money to go for an eye-examination. She heard about Sankurathri Foundation which provides glasses and treatment to the needy, with the help of donors and decided to go for a check-up.
After a complete examination, it was established that she needed corrective glasses for better vision. Knowing her economic condition, Sankurathri Foundation provided her a pair of glasses with your kind donation, Jamie.
Thank you Jamie for your kindness. With your help Satyavathi can look after herself now and live with dignity in her old age.
