Sixty-two year old, Moolamma, is an old widow. She hails from the village of Biccavolu, in coastal Andhra Pradesh and has two sons and one daughter.
But, she lives with her eldest son and his family. Not wanting to burden her son, she took up work as a housemaid and earns about $ 1 per day. Although not much, she was happy that she earned at least to cover her own little expenses.
But lately, she noticed that he vision had become blurry and was slowly diminishing. She found it difficult to work or even do her personal chores. She decided to get her eyes examined.
After a thorough eye-examination, it was found that she needed corrective glasses, for her to see well. When she was told about the price of the glasses, she said that she has to ask her son and she was not sure if he would give any money. Seeing her plight, Sankurathri Foundation, provided her a pair of glasses.
Your generous donation, Elizabeth, enabled Sankurathri Foundation to provide a pair of much-needed glasses to Moolamma, with which she can now see clearly.
Thank you,Elizabeth, for you kind gesture that has made a big difference in Moolamma§s life!
