Syam Kumar will be well fed, for an entire year!

Eight year old, Syam Kumar, is the older child of Mr.Venkata Ramana, who is a Carpenter by profession. They hail  from the village of Penumarthi, in coastal Andhra Pradesh. His father makes reasonable amount of money when he finds work but he doesn’t make any money, on other days.  On an average, he earns about $90 per month. With such meager income, he finds it difficult to support his family and his mother.

The children were malnourished and on a hungry stomach, Syam could not concentrate on his studies when he started schooling.

Your generous donation, Laurent, has made it possible for Sankurathri Foundation to provide a year of nutritious lunches comprising of rice, lentils, leafy vegetables and clarified butter to Syam. He will also be given a glass of milk in the afternoon. With these two food supplements, Syam will become healthy and active. He will also be able to perform well in his studies.
