Govindu can go back to work as he can see better

Kada Govindu, 65, M
Dear Benjamin,

Kada Govindu is a 75 year old farm laborer who lives in the village of Vulapalli, and earns about $ 90 per month. The sum is barely enough to meet the needs of him and his wife. With that money he and his wife are living in the village Vulapalli.  They have 2 daughters and 1 son, all of whom live far away from the village.

Kada Govindu has been suffering from cataract blindness for the last 18 months. His problem was identified at an eye camp that Sankurathri Foundation conducted in his area. Since Govindu was willing to arrange for his own transportation, he was brought back to the base hospital on the same day where he was provided all the preoperative testing, food, accommodation, medicines during surgery. After the Intraocular transplant, he was given post operative medications and transportation back to his village.

Your donation, Benjamin, has not only covered the entire cost of Govindu’s surgery, it will cover the cost of two follow up visits to the hospital, and will take care of the cost of prescription glasses if required.

Thank you, Benjamin, for bringing light back into Govindu’s life.
