Sixty-two year old, Subhadramma, lives in the village of Vemulavada, in coastal Andhra Pradesh. Her husband Veeranna died three years ago due to unknown illness. She has two daughters who are married and living with their husbands. She also two sons and she is living with her elder son. He is a mason and earns $90 per month.
Since the last few months, she was depressed as she noticed defective vision in both her eyes and she could not do her own work at home. She also had no money for a medical checkup. At that time, Sankurathri foundation was organizing a free eye camp in her village, where she had a complete eye checkup done and was advised glasses for better vision. With no income or savings of her own, she could not afford to buy one.
Your generous donation, James, enabled Sankurathri Foundation to provide her a pair of glasses with which she can see clearly now and is very happy.
Thank you, James, for your kindness. With your help, Subhadramma can look after herself now.
