Eighty year old, Lovaraju hails from the village of Pedapudi, in coastal Andhra Pradesh. He is an old widower and lives with son and his family.
In spite of having four children, he chose to live with his eldest son, who works as a laborer in the construction industry and earns about $ 150 per month. With this money, Lovaraju’s son has to support not just his father but also, his wife and own children.
Lovaraju needs frequent medical attention which proves to be very expensive for his son but he still does all he can to look after his father well. When Lovaraju complained about dimness and blurry vision, his son accompanied him to the hospital run by Sankurathri Foundation, where he under-went a complete eye-examination. He was advised to wear a pair of corrective glasses, which Lovaraju’s son had no money for.
Your generous donation, Michelle, enabled Sankurathri Foundation to provide Lovaraju a pair of glasses with which he can see clearly now and is very happy.
Thank you, Michelle, for your kindness. With your help, Lovaraju can look after himself and your support comes as a big relief to his son!
