Happy to receive a new pair of glasses!

Fifty-eight year old, Parvathy, hails from the village of Kovvada, in coastal Andhra Pradesh and is living with her husband Brahmam, who is a carpenter by profession. Her husband earns $ 120 per month, which is just enough to meet their most basic needs.

Parvathy kept herself busy with the household chores. But when she suddenly realized that her vision was diminishing, she became very depressed.  At that time, Sankurathri foundation was organizing a free eye camp in her village, where she had a complete eye checkup done and was advised to undergo cataract surgery. With no income or savings of her own, she could not afford the surgery costs and hence, was operated free of cost, by Sankurathri Foundation

Post-surgery she needed a pair of corrective glasses, which Sankurathri was able to provide only because of your generous donation, Jennifer.
