Paparao can resume work!

Valluri Paparao, 72y, M
Dear Jennifer,

Seventy-two year old, Paparao hails from the village of Pedapudi, in coastal Andhra Pradesh. He lives here, with his wife and works as a farm laborer to support their needs. He earns up to $90 a month, which is barely enough to meet their basic needs.

Although they have four children – three daughters and one son, the couple live separately from them as they do not want to depend on their children. They take pride in their independence and want to continue living like that, for as long as possible.

But when Paparao suddenly realized that his vision was diminishing, he became very depressed as he couldn’t go to work.  At that time, Sankurathri foundation was organizing a free eye camp in his village, where he had a complete eye checkup done and was advised to undergo cataract surgery. With no income or savings of his own, he could not afford the surgery costs and hence, was operated free of cost, by Sankurathri Foundation

Post-surgery he needed a pair of corrective glasses, which Sankurathri was able to provide only because of your generous donation, Jennifer.

Thank you, Jennifer, for your kindness. With your help, Paparao can now see better and looks forward to resuming work.
