Satyanarayana’s vision has improved!

Sixty-six year old, Satyanarayana hails from the village of Velangi, in coastal Andhra Pradesh. He lives here, with his wife and works as a farm laborer to support their needs. He earns up to $80 a month, which is barely enough to meet their basic needs.

They have no children to care for them and work to support themselves. But when Satyanarayana suddenly realized that his vision was diminishing, he became very depressed as he couldn’t go to work.  At that time, Sankurathri foundation was organizing a free eye camp in his village, where he had a complete eye checkup done and was advised to undergo cataract surgery. With no income or savings of his own, he could not afford the surgery costs and hence, was operated free of cost, by Sankurathri Foundation

Post-surgery he needed a pair of corrective glasses, which Sankurathri was able to provide only because of your generous donation, Jennifer.
