Venkayamma can look after herself!

Kukkala Venkayamma, 56
Dear Michelle,

Fifty-six year old, Venkayamma hails from the village of Peddada, in coastal Andhra Pradesh. She is a widow and lives with her son and his family, here.

Venkayamma has four daughters and one son. She tries to help her daughter in law with the domestic chores but was unable to do so since the last two months.

She was depressed as she noticed defective vision in both her eyes and she could not do her own work at home. She also had  no money for a medical checkup. At that time, Sankurathri foundation was organizing a free eye camp in her village, where she had a complete eye checkup done and was advised glasses for better vision. With no income or savings of her own, she could not afford to buy one.

Your generous donation, Michelle, enabled Sankurathri Foundation to provide her a pair of glasses with which she can see clearly now and is very happy.

Thank you, Michelle, for your kindness. With your help, Venkayamma can look after herself now.
