Gowri Parvathi’s life will be changed for good

Dear Kevin,

Twelve year old, Gowri Parvathi, is the youngest of three children. Her father works in the fields on daily wages and earns a meager sum of about $3 per day. He doesn’t have a steady job and struggles to support his wife and three other children with his earnings.

Under such circumstances education is never a priority for parents who believe that by sending the child to work, they can make some money to supplement the family income.

Thus there are many children in the rural areas who are drop outs of education because of their parents§ economic conditions. Sarada Vidyalayam is helping such children to complete their education without any financial burden to their parents.

The school maintains a very strict curriculum and provides quality education and imparts good discipline and values to groom them as good citizens.

Gowri is studying in the sixth grade at Sarada Vidyalayam, a school run by Sankurathi Foundation.
