Siva Sai Vardhini love her new uniform

Nine year old Siva Sai Vardhini is studying in grade 3 at Sarada Vidyalayam, the free school run by Sankurathri Foundation in rural Andhra Pradesh. She is the second child of a potter, Venkata Ramana, who’s monthly income of $ 80 is barely enough to make ends meet. Girls of Siva Sai Vardhini’s age and background are normally not encouraged to go to school, but her parents ensure that she is given a good education.

Your donation, Melia, enabled Sankurathri Foundation to provide a set of two school uniforms to Siva Sai Vardhini. The smile on her face shows just how happy she is to be wearing her new uniform.
