Lakshmi can see better now

Kundram Lakshmi is fifty years old, and lives with her husband, Apparao in Mamidada village, Andhra Pradesh. The couple have four children who live separately in the same village. Lakshmi’s husband is a mason earning about $ 4 per day. With that money the couple lives modestly and meet their expenses with out depending on any body.  Up to last year she was able to manage her own chores at home and also help her husband in any way she could. But her vision has dropped since last one year and she found it difficult to manage at home and she felt very depressed.

When she attended the eye screening camp conducted by Sankurathri Foundation in her village, Lakshmi found that she needed corrective spectacles. However, she on her husband’s income, she could not afford to buy her own spectacles.
