Venkata Ratnam can continue living dignity

Sixty five year old Jyothula Venkata Ratnam is a widow living in the village Pithapuram in coastal Andhra Pradesh. Her husband Veeraraju died three years ago due to heart attack. She has three sons and one daughter. Venkata Ratnam is helpless and works as a daily laborer to make her living. She earns about $ 2 a day when she finds work. For the last few months, however, she has not been able to find work, because her vision was going down.
