Fourteen year old Sunil studies in Grade 7 at Sarada Vidyalayam school. Sunil hails from a village named Kothuru, and is the second child of Srinivasarao. Sunil’s father is a tailor who earns $4 a day.
The circumstances of his family are such, that education is not given much priority. In rural areas, parents tend to send their kids to work in order to supplement the family income. This results in children like Sunil dropping out of school and ending up as child laborers.
Sarada Vidyalayam helps such children complete their schooling by providing them with free education. The school also helps students by giving them free uniforms, lunch, medicines, books etc. With your assistance, we have been able to provide Sunil with a set of two uniforms.
Thank you Amy, for helping Sunil. He proudly wears his uniform to school.
