Chakraarao looks forward to going back to work

Sixty three year old Ummidi Chakrarao lives in the village of Chebrolu in coastal Andhra Pradesh. He works as a farm laborer and earns about $ 50 per month. He has two sons who are both married and live seperately. Chakrarao and his wife live at the edge of poverty.

Chakrarao suddenly lost his vision a few weeks back, and at an eye screening camp organized by Sankurathri Foundation, his problem was diagnosed as a refractive error, for which he needed a pair of corrective glasses that he could not afford.
