Veerajamma can go back to work again

Sixty two year old Sambari Veerajamma who lives in the village of U.Kothapalli in coastal Andhra Pradesh. She has a son and a daughter, both of whom are married and live with their own families. Both Veerajamma and her husband work as daily laborer in the fields and earn about $ 2 per day. Veerajamma has learnt to run her household on that small sum of money. However, for the last few months, her vision has been going down, because of which she could not find work.

She had a free eye check up conducted at the hospital run by Sankurathri Foundation, where it was found that she needed corrective glasses. Since she could not afford to purchase a pair of glasses, your donation ensured that Veerajamma was given a free pair of eye glasses.
