Ratnam can see better now

Suravarapu Ratnam is a 70 year old widow living in the village Mallam in coastal Andhra Pradesh. Her husband, Suryarao, died 6 years back. She has four daughters and one son. She is currently living with her daughter and helps to her with her chores. But for the last few months her vision has dropped and she hasn’t been able to help her daughter at home.

At that time she came to the eye hospital run by Sankurathri Foundation for an eye check-up. She needed corrective glasses, but since she did not have any money of her own, she could not afford to buy them.
