Bathina Sirisha, 14, 8th
Dear Sudha, Jeffrey, Mark and Lisbet, Peter and Kim, Peter, Rajeev, and Rao,

This girl is Bathina Sirisha. She is fourteen years old and is studying grade 8 inSarada Vidyalayam, the school run by Sankurathri Foundation. She is the second child of Venkatarao, who works as a farm laborer in the village Kothuru, and earns about $ 4 per day. Sirisha  has an younger brother who is also studying grade 6 in the same school.

In families such as Sirisha’s education is never a priority, and children drop out of school because of financial constraints. Your donations, Sudha, Jeffrey (x2), Mark and Lisbet (x2), Peter and Kim, Peter (x2), Rajeev (x2) and Rao (x2), will ensure that Sirisha continues to receive free education (including study materials) at Sarada Vidyalayam for an entire year.

Thank you for providing quality education to Sirisha. In the hands of a girl like Sirisha, education not only be a passport to economic independence, it will be be a powerful tool for bringing about social change.
