Laka Suryakantham is a 70 years old widow living in the village Pithapuram. Her husband, Simhachalam, died 10 years ago. She has two sons and four daughters who are married and living with their families. Suryakantham works as a daily laborer and makes about $ 1.5 a day, which is barely sufficient to meet her needs.
Suryakantam was operated for cataracts at the eye-hospital run by Sankurathri Foundation, but post surgery, she was not able to afford corrective glasses. Your donation, Bri, enabled Sankurathri Foundation to provide her with a pair of free glasses.
Thank you, Bri, for enabling Suryakantham to look after herself and continue to live with dignity in her old age.
