Sunil is determined to move himself out of poverty

Fourteen year old Sunil studies in Grade 8 at Sarada Vidyalayam School. Sunil hails from a village named Kothuru, and is the second child of Srinivasarao, a tailor who earns $4 a day. Sunil gets only poor quality food at home, because of which he is undernourished, and susceptible to frequent illnesses. This results in absenteeism from school, which is a vicious cycle, where a child who is backward in education lags further behind due to ill health due to lack of a balanced diet.

Your donation, Bellevue Rotary Foundation, will provide a year of nutritious lunches comprising of lentils, green leafy vegetables, rice and clarified butter to Sunil. This lunch will be supplemented by a glass of milk in the afternoon.

Thanks to your generosity, Bellevue Rotary Foundation, Sunil will be able to concentrate better on his studies, and be instrumental in moving himself and his family out of poverty.
