Noothana’s lost her father, but she hasn’t lost hope
Tilapudi Noothana is a thirteen year old girl studying grade 8 in our school Sarada Vidyalayam. She is second child of Veeraju who has died in some road accident few months back. Noothana has an elder brother who is also studying grade 6 in the same school. Her mother is a tailor. She earns around $60 per month.
Because of a combination of poverty and ignorance, Noothana, like other girls from her background is undernourished. Though her mother is able to feed her everyday, the meal she eats is lacking in basic nutrients. This undernourishment makes her prone to diseases, and adversely affects her attention span.
Your donations, Charlotte, Loana and Radu, FC, Venkat, Steve, Akiko and Christine, will enable us to provide free school lunches ot Noothana for an entire year. The meals will be well-balanced, and will be supplemented by a glass of milk.
