Appayamma is happy that she can help her daughter at home
Gurram Appayamma is a 65 year old widow living in the village of Veera Raghavapalem in coastal Andhra Pradesh. She has one son and two daughters. She lives with her daughter and helps her with her daily chores. She doesn’t have any personal source of income.
When she developed cataracts in her eyes, she felt really helpless, but a donation enabled Sankurathri Foundation to perform surgery and restore her vision. Post surgery, she needed corrective glasses, which she could not afford, your donation, Deepthi, enabled Sankurathri Foundation to provide a pair of free glasses to Appayamma. She can now see well, and is happy to be able to manage her chores at home.
