Chellayamma can see again

Penumalla Chellayamma is a 50 year old widow who lives with her daughter in the village Samalkot. Her son died in a road accident 10 years back and her husband, Satyanarayana, passed away two years back. Over the last few months, she developed cataracts in both eyes, which left her blind. She was very depressed, because she felt she was becoming an unnecessary burden on her daughter at such a young age.

Your donation, Ganesha, enabled Sankurathri Foundation to perform a cataract surgery on Chellayamma. In addition to the cost of the surgery, the post operative care, and the medications, your donation also covered transportation to bring her to the base hospital and back, and will cover the cost of two post operative check-ups.
