Koppisetty Dhana Lakshmi is a 73 year old widow living in the village Kondayyapalem. She has four daughters, three of whom are are married and living with their families. She lives with her youngest, and only unmarried daughter. Until last year, she was able to successfully manage the household chores and take care of her daughter. But her vision began to drop gradually, making it virtually impossible to carry on independently. She was depressed as she felt she was becoming an unnecessary burden on her daughter.
After an eye exam, it was found that she needed corrective glasses, but, being unemployed and poor, she could not afford them. Your donation, The Butson Foundation, enabled Sankurathri Foundation to provide a free pair of glasses to her. Thank you for giving Dhana Lakshmi back her sight.
