Ginjala Sesha Ratnam is a 65 year old widow living in the village of Vakalapudi in coastal Andhra Pradesh. She has four daughters and two sons. She lives with her second son’s family and helps them in the business of selling milk. She earns about $20 per month.
Sesha is very independent by nature and doesn’t like to depend on her son for existence. For the past two years, Sesha’s vision has been deteriorating. She could not afford new spectacles and at the same time, she did not want to ask her son.
Your donation, Anjana, enabled Sankurathri Foundation to provide a free pair of glasses to her. Sesha can now see well again.
Thank you, Anjana, for restoring Sesha’s eyesight and restoring her dignity.
