Dalamma can see better with her new spectacles

Seventy year old Jagarapu Dalamma is a widow living in the village of Samalkot. She has three sons and one daughter, who are married and living with their families. She lives separately. Her husband, Sanyasirao, died of a heart problem, ten years ago.Dalamma works as a daily laborer earning around $30 per month depending on when she finds work.

For the last few months she has been depressed as she noticed defective vision in her both eyes and could not go to work. She also has no money for medical checkup. At that time she came to know about Sankurathri foundation, where she had a complete eye checkup done and was advised glasses.
