Seventy two year old Sk Meera Saheb has three sons and one daughter, but, ever since his wife died, he lives alone and sustains himself through his tailoring skills. He is very independent by nature and doesn’t want to be a burden on his children. He earns 40$ a month whenever he finds work. He lives in the village of Samalkot in Andhra Pradesh.
For the past one year, his deteriorating eye sight worried him as he could not work. As he began to starve, with not enough food to eat, one of his neighbors brought him to the eye camp where he was examined free of cost. It was diagnosed that he needed corrective glasses.
Your donation, Joel, enabled Sankurathri Foundation to provide a free pair of glasses to Meera Saheb. Thank you for helping restore Meera Saheb’s income and independence.
