Fifty five year old Tamalapakula Sarvarao works as a carpenter and supports his wife with his meager earnings of around 40$ a month, whenever he finds work. They have three daughters and two sons who are married and living with their families. Sarvarao and his wife live in a small hut in the village of Samalkot.
For the past one year, his deteriorating eye sight worried him as he could not even go to work. During an eye camp, it was diagnosed that he needed corrective glasses to see properly. Being poor, he could not afford them.
Your donation, Gayle, enabled Sankurathri Foundation to provide a free pair of glasses to Sarvarao. Thank you!
