Krishna Veni is happy because she can see better

Seventy year old Barre Krishna Veni lives in the village of Jagannaikpur in coastal Andhra Pradesh. Till he suffered a stroke three years back, her husband used to be breadwinner of the family, but now she is forced to work as a daily laborer to keep the fires burning. Even though the couple has two sons and one daughter they do not want to depend on their children, and they manage to get by on the $ 25 that she is able to earn every month.

Over the last six months, however, her vision has been going down, and it was found that she needed corrective glasses. Your donation made it possible for Sankurathri Foundation to provide a pair of free glasses to her. The smile on her face tells you how happy she is now that she can see better.
