Nookalamma can continue living with dignity

Sixty five year old Bandela Nookalamma is a resident of Muvvalapeta in Andhra Pradesh.  She has three sons and four daughters, but she and her late husband, Rajulu chose to live independently. Ever since her husband passed away two years back, she has been living alone and supporting herself on the $ 35 that she earns by working as a daily laborer. Because of the uncertain nature of her work, however, she doesn’t have any savings.

Over the last six months, however, her vision has been going down, and it was found that she needed corrective glasses. Your donation made it possible for Sankurathri Foundation to provide a pair of free glasses to her. She is very happy now, because your donation has made it possible for her to continue living alone and with dignity.
