Suryudamma is happy her eyesight has now been restored

Sixty five year old Jagatala Suryudamma is a resident of Muvvalapeta village in Andhra Pradesh. Her husband died 20 years ago in a road accident, and she has been working as a daily laborer to support herself and her three daughters. Now the daughters are all settled in life and Suryudamma is living with the youngest one. Because of her medical condition Suryudamma can not work out side the home but she helps her daughter at home.

Over the last six months, her vision has been dropping, and she was diagnosed with cataracts. Since she couldn’t afford to pay for it, Sankurathri Foundation performed a free cataract surgery on her. Post-surgery, she still needed glasses, and your donation made it possible for a pair of glasses to be donated to her. She is now happy because she can see well, and will be able to help out in her son’s house.
