58 year-old Anasuri is a resident of Valasapakala in coastal Andhra Pradesh, India. She lives with her husband, Subba, who works as a farm laborer. Her husband earns $3 a day when he has work. They have two daughters who live with them.
Anasuri developed cataracts in both eyes and had no money to get operation. She attended a free eye screening camp offered by the Sankurathri Foundation, and after a thorough eye examination, she received cataract surgeries for both eyes free of charge. Afterwards she found that she needed corrective spectacles for her to see well. When Sankurathri officials mentioned the price of the spectacles, Anasuri said she could not afford them. Based on her economic condition, they provided her a pair of spectacles that were funded with your donation.
Thank you Subhash for helping Anasuri get her sight back!
