Depression lifts as vision returns

Varamma is 60 years old and hails from the village of Ramachandrapuram in Tamil Nadu, India. She lives with her husband Ramana. Up until last year, Varamma was able to manage her own chores at home and also help her husband. A recent decline in her vision has made this difficult and Varamma has become more and more depressed as the issue progresses.

Varamma attended an eye screening camp held by the Sankurathri Foundation and received a thorough eye exam that revealed she needed glasses. Based on her economic condition, Sankurathri officials provided her with a pair of spectacles free of charge. This was only possible because of your contribution, Tony.
