Chandra can live independently again

Chandra is 78 years old and lives with her son in the village of Seela, India. Chandra suffers from blindness caused by cataracts in both eyes. Because of her disability, she must depend on her son to help her. Sadly, Chandra could not afford the simple cataract surgery that would allow her to regain her sight.

Sankurathri works to cure preventable blindness caused by cataracts. This problem can be easily fixed with a simple surgery, but those suffering from cataracts in rural India rarely have the means to pay for the procedure. With your support, Harini, the surgery was free for Chandra.

Now, Chandra is no longer a burden for her son and can live independently. She is extremely grateful for your help in returning her sight.
