Narayana can feel better because of your help

Kollu Narayana, 84, M
Dear Theodore,

Narayana is a 84 year old farmer living in a village called Mamidada in Andhra Pradesh. He came to the eye hospital run by Sankurathri Foundation complaining of headache and poor vision. After a complete eye examination it was established that he needs spectacles to correct his poor vision. He had been operated for cataract 8 years ago but had broken his spectacles, and since he was living alone, was not able to replace them. The headaches were because of not having spectacles.

Your donation, Theodore, enabled Sankurathri Foundation to provide a pair of free spectacles to Narayana.

Thank you, Theodore, for helping Narayana feel better.

Suryanarayana can see again

Kada Suryanarayana, 70, M
Dear Kandace,

Seventy year old Suryanarayana, hails from the village of Bhimvaram. He works as a carpenter and has a son and a daughter, both of whom are settled in the same village. Suryanarayana’s wife died two years ago and he now lives with his son’s family.

He works to support his own needs but since the last one year, his vision in left eye started diminishing and he could not work efficiently. He was very upset that he could not earn and did not want to burden his son, further.

When he heard about th eye-camp organized by Sankurathri Foundation, he decided to get his eyes checked. After a complete examination, Surayanarayana was diagnosed as having developed mature cataract and was asked to undergo surgery.

With not much work, he had run out of his savings and could not afford the cost for surgery. Your generous donation enabled Sankurathri Foundation to bear the cost of Suryanarayana’s cataract surgery. Your donation also covered the transportation costs and the cost of two post-operative visits to the Hospital.

Thank you so much Kandace for this very generous donation. You have helped Suryanarayana see better in his old age.
