Anisha is determined to cope with her studies!

Anisha
Dear ameya and Lesley,

Nine year old, Anisha is studying in Grade 3 at Sarada Vidyalayam, the school run by Sankurathri Foundation near Kakinada town in Andhra Pradesh, India. She is  the second daughter of a village mason who earns a meager sum, depending on whether he finds work.

Anisha’s teachers noticed that she was lagging in her studies and they could not gauge the reason for this. When Anisha’s poor performance was discussed amongst the Staff and the School Management, they decided to ask her parents to get Anisha’s eyes examined. After conducting a free eye examination at Srikiran Institute, she was found to be myopic and needed to wear glasses to be able to see clearly again.

Thanks to your generous donation, Ameya, Sankurathri Foundation was able to provide Anisha with a pair of glasses with which she can see better. She is now determined to cope with her studies and make up for the lost time.

Your generous donation, Lesley, enabled Sankurathri Foundation to give two sets of school uniforms to Anisha. She loves teaming her new uniforms with bright white ribbons, and a cheery smile. She’s so fond of wearing her school uniform that she hasn’t missed a single day of classes since she got them.

Thank you, Ameya and Leslie, for helping Anisha do better in her studies.

Ramu can improve his studies

Ramu
Dear Niranjan,

Ramu is the son of a village farmer. His father works in the agricultural fields as a daily laborer and earns about $3 per day.
