Durgananda can continue attending school

Dear Anandhi,

Six year old, Durgananda is the youngest of three children. His father, Veerraju, is a small farmer, hailing from the village of Penumarthi, in coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Being a small farmer with half an acre land, his father earns a meager sum of $100 per month. With Durgananda’s father being a marginal farmer, Durgananda and his siblings are being given free education at Sarada Vidyalayam, a school run by Sankurathri Foundation.

Since it is a common phenomenon for children in rural areas to drop out of school because of their parents’ economic condition, Sarada Vidyalayam helps such children complete their education without any financial burden to their parents.

Your generous donation, Anandhi, enabled Sarada Vidyalayam to provide two sets of uniforms to Durgananda Kumar, which will last him through an entire academic year.

Thank you, Anandhi, for making Durgananda, a happy child! Your support comes as a big relief to his parents.
