Lalitha can read better now!

Dear Howard,

Ten year old Lalitha is the oldest of three children. She lives with her parents and a younger sister and a brother, in the village of Kothuru, in coastal Andhra Pradesh.

Her father works as a Mason and earns barely $5 per day. Lalitha is studying in the 5th grade at Sarada vidyalayam. Recently, her teachers noticed that she was finding it difficult to read and write properly. They  referred her for an eye checkup. After a complete eye-examination, she was found to have refractive error and was advised corrective glasses.

After explaining the need for glasses to her father, he confessed that he didn’t have enough money to buy her one. Understanding his poor economic condition, Sankurathri Foundation provided a pair of glasses to Lalitha.

Your generous donation, Howard, enabled Sankurathri Foundation to provide a pair of glasses for Lalitha, with which she can now see clearly.

Thank you, Howard, for your kind gesture!
