Dear Scott,
Sixty-five year old, Nookarajamma, is an old widow from Panduru village, living with her son and his family.
Nookarajamma’s husband Mr.China Brahmam passed away last year due to some unexplained sickness and this has devastated completely. It took her almost one year to recover from that and all this while, she did not realize that her vision was gradually diminishing.
Up to last year she was able to manage her own chores at home and also help her daughter-in-law with domestic work. When she complained about her failing eye sight, her son advised her to go to an eye hospital for a check-up. After a thorough eye-examination, it was found that she needed corrective glasses, for her to see well. When she was told about the price of the glasses, she said that she has to ask her son and she was not sure if he would give any money. Seeing her plight, Sankurathri Foundation, provided her a pair of glasses.
Your generous donation, Scott, enabled Sankurathri Foundation to provide a pair of much-needed glasses to Nookarajamma, with which she can now see clearly.
Thank you,Scott, for you kind gesture that has made a big difference in Nookarajamma’s life!
